The past, in its extraordinary unchangeability, forever preserves indelible traces and signs of the lives of those who came before us. This has been a life lesson for us, teaching us not to forget. Unique and extraordinary emotions help us rediscover values in a magical place where the past blends with the present.
When we observe the fruit of our labor, reflecting on the effort made, with the awareness that there is still more to do, our deepest desire is born: to share with others the beauty of the place, the sense of belonging to the world of nature where one can find mental well-being, entertainment, relaxation, and at the same time crystallize human values.
It is estimated that the first construction of the current farmhouse took place around the end of the 1800s and the beginning of the 1900s. Initially, it began as a single stone structure with a double-pitched roof and was used for agricultural purposes.
It was not until after World War II that the place underwent transformation, when Antonio Corvo, a local agricultural entrepreneur, decided to establish his business there. The transformation, and thus the construction, was progressive but steady, reflecting the success of the agricultural enterprise. First, the ground floor was expanded for the management of the land, and only later was the upper floor built for residential purposes.
Much later, inheritance needs led to the division of the estate into two parts, but this did not last long. In fact, after a few years, Gian Michele, the current owner, decided to acquire the remaining half.
Once the unity of the estate was restored, Gian Michele, along with his wife Adriana, who fell in love with the place, undertook extensive renovation work to transform the entire building into an elegant country retreat.
The extensive renovation of the property required reimagining all the vast interior spaces of the estate, which was divided into 14 rooms. The model followed was that of Tuscan and Umbrian farmhouses. Thus, alongside the necessary modernization of the spaces from a functional perspective, a classic decor and the use of building materials corresponding to local traditions were chosen.
In respect of nature and the environment, all systems were designed with sustainability in mind, from heat pump hot water production to the highest energy class winter and summer climate control systems, and home automation systems capable of optimizing consumption.
A unique feature of our estate is the preservation of five fireplaces, once used to heat the rooms, now expertly restored and converted to pellet use through special inserts. These ensure safety with their airtight construction, comfort with visible flames through glass, and sustainability thanks to their clean air certification, classifying them as 5-star products.
Externally, the farmhouse boasts two panoramic terraces, measuring 538 and 323 square feet, respectively, and a 30-square-meter porch. The views overlook the surrounding hilly landscape, primarily composed of arable land and vast olive groves.
The garden, also offering panoramic views, extends over an area of more than 22000 square feet and can be fully enjoyed even at night, thanks to outdoor lighting that illuminates every space.
Security is ensured through an extensive surveillance system that covers every exterior corner.
